Joel Palmer aka Swamp Bear is a Canadian Artist that specializes in the Artistry of a Chainsaw.  He has been recognized world wide as a top professional in the art of the saw.  From the very beginnings Joel showed the world that he was destined to be a master of the chainsaw when he entered and won a local Atlantic Coast Carving competition.  In the same year 2012 Swamp Bear Art began and to this day is the livelihood and full time profession for Joel.  Since the beginnings Joel has won multiple awards in National and International Competitions.  Joel was a featured competitor on the Discovery TV series A Cut Above in 2022 where he competed against 12 top artists from around the world.  He continues to push himself in competition and at home in the studio.  Most of Swamp Bears time is taken up with specialty commission projects at his home/studio where he creates custom carvings for his customers.  Some projects require traveling to an event or onsite location where the works are created.  Throughout the years Joel's become a top artist in his field of Chainsaw Sculpting and continues to work on Mastery of the Saw.
